Dr. Randell manages both normal and complicated (high-risk) pregnancies. His care is directed to the well being of both mother and fetus with special emphasis on family-oriented childbirth. All deliveries are performed in the new Women's Center at Northside Hospital where birthing rooms, 24 hour anesthesia and neonatal services are available. Dr. Randell strives to maintain a low cesarean section rate and offers vaginal births after cesarean section (VBAC's).
Dr. Randell offers the latest advances in both preventive and problem-oriented women's health care. His services include family planning (oral contraceptives, contraceptive ring and patch, diaphragm fitting, IUD, Essure and natural family planning), PAP smears (Thin Prep), breast exams, and osteoporosis screening. Many gynecologic procedures that once required major surgery can now be done on an out-patient basis using the laparoscope, laser, or robot. Also many conditions such as endometriosis and irregular bleeding can be treated medically, instead of with surgery. By utilizing the most advanced instruments and latest techniques, Dr. Randell aims to manage all female health problems, major or minor, in the least invasive and most ambulatory manner.
It is estimated that one in six couples experience infertility. Dr. Randell provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment for infertility. Some of the diagnostic services include hysterosalpingography, semen analysis, endocrine (hormone) evaluation, hysteroscopy and pelvic sonography. Therapeutic modalities include ovulation monitoring and induction, and insemination with semen from either husband or donor. Laser surgery, microsurgery and pelviscopy are available when necessary. All services are provided in a caring and supportive environment.
